How To Be An Influencer and Create A Community on Social Media
To be influencer you don’t need a community with thousands of followers. Influence doesn’t depend on the number of followers, but rather on the trust people place in you and what you say. That’s why micro-influencers often have much more engagement and authenticity than people who are “super” influencers. So now you know, #WeAreAllInfluencers.
Cómo ser influencer
As we’ve said before, at SocialPubli.com we are defenders of quality over quantity. If the content is valuable, the numbers will follow (be patient).
Before starting your foray into the world of influencers, you have to be clear about what you want and what you can contribute. Do you think you have something unique to offer? Exploit this. For better or for worse, social media is very transparent, so you always have to be yourself.
But of course, at the same time, you also have to introduce yourself (and sell yourself) to the world by using a strategy. Being an influencer requires effort, hard work and alot of brainstorming.
Once the image that you are going to present to the world is clear, you need to investigate what other people are doing. Just like a company will do market research, you too should take a look at your “competitors”. See what works and what doesn’t, what’s being done, how it could be improved, how each social media network is used … Before you start publishing without giving it any thought, you need to study and reflect.
Like the influencer Abraham Lincoln said, “Give me six hours to cut down a tree and I’ll spend the first four hours sharpening the ax.” If you need more metaphors, think of an iceberg. The content you post is just the tip of the iceberg, but there’s much more work behind it that isn’t visible to the public.
First steps as influencer
Okay, you’ve already researched and triple researched the subject. Now it’s time to publish and make your social media channels and your community grow.
The reason why influencers are successful as advertising vehicles comes down to one thing? their authenticity. That authenticity is based on having real and honest connections with their community. Therefore, the key here is to connect with people. Social networks are platforms that allow and facilitate connections. So, as an influencer, you have to actively use these channels, not only to publish your own content but also as an escape to see what else is going on. [como escaparate (escaparte) y desentenderte]– ? as a showroom where you can see how you measure up.
And who better to give you advice on how to be influencer than our own influencers?
This is what they told us:

Hard work and patience
Ana Hidalgo @AnaHid46
Don’t be in a hurry, choose your work carefully and don’t be discouraged when, sometimes, you don’t see your desired results … Be an #Influencer who is tenacious and persistent.
Work, work and more work. That’s not as easy as it sounds. And don’t let yourself get carried away with the numbers, but rather by the quality of your work!
DJ KLINKER @ValentinCaslop
When you write, do it thoughtfully. You can’t imagine the power your words will have.
